The BBC's news blog is visually stimulating. When users navigate to the blog, they are greeted with large images related to the news stories being previewed. These images help to give context to the story at first-glance.

The main navigation menu is very accessible. A reader can easily filter content based on the specific news beat they might be interested in , such as world news, business , science and technology. There are also categories that help readers make decisions about what they want to read e.g 'Long Reads' and 'Most Read'. This is a feature that I would like to incorporate in my own blog, because it makes the browsing experience more user-friendly.
The BBC actively uses Twitter, Instagram and Facebook in its reporting. On Twitter and Facebook, they provide news headlines along with links to their articles, and on Instagram they do this with photos and short video clips. In their articles, they also link to tweets from others that are relevant to their story.
This blog is updated daily. Since a huge part of the BBC is straight news, it provides information on the latest developments of a story as soon as they occur.
The 'About' section of the blog is extensive. There are sections about the organization's history, its annual report , its partners and suppliers, board and executive and diversity, among other things. It is an effective bio page because it is all-encompassing and helpful for new readers and viewers who may be new to the BBC and it's news practices.
