I was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana, and moved to the United States in 2017 to attend Howard University, where I currently study journalism and computer science.

During my time at Howard, my professors have trained me to be a diligent fact-checker, thorough interviewer, and skilled writer. I've written content for online publications such as HU News Service and Truth Be Told News.

I've also had the opportunity to take on roles which stand at the intersection of my interests in writing, photography, and technology: I served as Historian for the Howard University Association of Black Journalists during my sophomore year, and I'm currently the Digital Editor for The Hilltop as well as a Content Writer for the HerCampus Chapter at Howard.

At the core of my being is a love for multiculturalism and diverse perspectives. I have Guyanese and Swiss heritage and I have traveled to many different countries across the Caribbean, North America, and Europe, which has increased my cultural understanding. I hope to continue my travels when I graduate from Howard and tell stories of those in the Black diaspora.
