By steeping myself in the richness of extra-curricular offerings on and off campus, I was able to both familiarise myself with a new environment as well as practice my skills by writing about these activities.​

I visited several cultural and historical  museums and found myself an audience member at an array of panel discussions and lectures. The two reflections you will read here document my experience at the first Ted Talk I ever attended, as well as my visit to the Holocaust Memorial Museum.

These accounts aren't merely a description of what I saw or who I heard; they detail my feelings, observations,  curiosities and newly acquired knowledge.
